"I did not realise that it was the Cenotaph and, if I had, I certainly would not have done what I did."
Charlie Gilmour, he's the idiot who thought it would be a good idea to hang off the Cenotaph on Thursday, is a student of history at Cambridge apparently. Oddly, his father is a pop guitarist and one of his songs featured the line, "We don't need no education." Quite.
Well, go Gilmour's........ what an inspiration to us all. Young Charlie now has three options in front of him. He can join the Army and work for absolution, (but first do lay off the magic tablets that make you think you're Superman Charlie), he can bugger off to Africa and seek salvation through charity work or, he can resign himself to a life of being trashy magazine and tabloid fodder, and reality TV star. No one else will have him. Wonder which he will choose......?
