Bugger Blatter

and Back in May I suggested here that we should tell Mr Blatter to take a hike and we'd run our own competition, ex FIFA. We still should. Even though I find it somewhat ironic that English managers, hardly models of financial probity, have been lining up today to condemn FIFA, I think we should stand up for what is right and not be dictated to by a shower of shady and highly dubious foreigners. It won't be difficult to derail them and demand reform by withdrawing support.

The government, the sporting establishment and the sports press are all complicit in this of course. They're happy to subjugate themselves and our tax laws to suit every little dictat from the tin pot dictators in Zurich. It's utterly ridiculous, just as the hoops we're jumping through for the Olympics are; private traffic lanes for the IOC's limo's? ......... no, this isn't Moscow in the 1970's. They can all bugger off.

If we stand for anything, we stand for fair play and if we've chucked the towel in on that then we genuinely don't have much left to be proud of. The blame for that lies not with the BBC but squarely with our own representatives who appear content to compromise themselves and by extension the nation at every turn. Lets stop playing their game and start our own.
